OUR TEACHERS

Sheri started her musical journey learning classical piano from the age of seven. After completing her AMEB exams, Sheri completed her Bachelor of Popular Music, majoring in Production, Engineering and Songwriting at the Queensland Conservatorium.

Sheri has extensive experience performing, recording and touring with bands throughout Australia, Germany and the UK. She is the lead singer of the alternative band LeBelle, which won the Australian leg of Emergenza and was placed fifth in the world final in Germany. Sheri has played alongside Iggy Pop and Pendulum at the Taubertal Festival in Rothenburg, Germany, as well as recording a full length album with renowned producer Forrester Savell.

Sheri is a friendly, patient and down-to-earth educator. Her experience teaching in schools as well as in the Australian music scene makes her an ideal teacher for those looking to learn fundamentals, classical repertoire and contemporary songs.

Olivia’s areas of experience span the breadth of contemporary voice, bringing to her teaching a background in musical theatre training but also a keen interest in pop, alternative, rock and singer-songwriter genres. Whether your interest is in performance skills, vocal technique or music theory, she loves working with students to tackle and conquer new challenges. More than anything, Olivia feels deeply passionate about helping students freely explore their creativity and develop their own sound and musical perspective.

Dominic Carpenter was introduced to music from a very young age, born into a family of extremely skilled musicians. Dominic has a background in both high level classical and jazz/improvisiation. His studies include both the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School and Melbourne University, learning from some of Australia’s most skilled artists .

Dominic enjoys teaching, sharing his skills and providing valuable feedback in a way that encourages students to both love music and achieve skilled musicianship.

Ben Lofthouse is a multi-talented Melbourne musician and teacher. At age 9, he started playing guitar, and was improvising in blues clubs by age 11. He has been teaching guitar (and bass & drums) for more than a decade to students of all ages, levels, and styles. He holds a music performance degree from the Australian College of the Arts, where he majored in guitar and songwriting, and has since been teaching while writing and recording an album with his band Scuff. Ben is very experienced in helping students achieve their goals, including AMEB examinations (even helping an initially struggling student get into Top Class in 2020). He can teach a wide range of contemporary genres including metal, funk, blues, hard rock, pop, reggae and classical. He looks forward to meeting new students and beginning the musical journey together.

Arthur has 15 years of piano playing under his belt — he is well-versed in classical, pop, jazz and improvisation styles. He has honed his talent under the guidance of esteemed musicians Paul Williamson, Jamie Oehlers, Tristan Lee and Barney McAll, supplemented by his studies at the Victoria College of the Arts.

Arthur is a multi-instrumentalist (saxophone, guitar, bass), and loves all things music — he looks forward to supporting his new students in their musical journey.

Liam, is an experienced drumkit player of man years. His studies include a bachelor of music at Box Hill Institute. He has studied with many of the most experienced teachers in Australia. He loves any and all music, especially rock and funk. If a student has a song or goal to work towards he is always be happy to help them work towards it and go above and beyond what they thought was ever possible.

​​Luca Pascucci has studied at the Victorian College of the Arts, majoring in Jazz and Improvisation. He has studied under the guidance of James Sherlock and Peter Petucci, some of Australia’s foremost guitarists.

In addition to jazz and blues, Luca has a passion for many forms of music such as pop, RnB and funk / soul — but he’s always keen and willing to delve into all ranges of other styles, too!

Luca is excellent at unlocking his students’ unique potential, depending on their individual ambitions and interests.

Saffi Campbell Walker is a highly skilled pianist with a rich and skilled background in both classical and jazz/improvisation. Her studies include the Victorian College of the Arts where she has studied under many Australian and international leading artists, and has received the premier’s award for excellence in music. She brings a commitment to sharing her skills and a joy in supporting people to develop as musicians to a high level of ability, and to encourage a lifelong love of music.

Theia’s studies include a Bachelor of Music Performance at Melbourne Conservatorium of Music and with many esteemed teachers in classical piano. Growing up in Sydney, Theia competed in numerous eisteddfods, notably receiving second place in the NSW Piano State Finals in the Oz Schools Instrumental Championships (OSIC).

Theia is patient and encouraging, focusing on building strong technique, musicality, and confidence, whether students are learning for enjoyment or preparing for AMEB exams, auditions, or performances. She aims to foster a genuine love for music in her students and share her passion for music.
